The 2008 Saturn Astra was hailed as the safest car occupying the number one tag on the Top Ten Safe New Vehicles for Less Than $25,000. It was followed by the boxy 2008 Scion xB on the number two spot, with 2008 Hyundai Sonata on the third. On the fourth place, it was the German 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit followed by the 2007 Mini Cooper on the fifth spot.

The sixth spot belongs to the 2007 Toyota Camry while the 2008 Volvo C30 belongs to number seven. It was followed by 2008 Dodge Charger and 2008 Honda Accord on the eighth and ninth spot respectively. Then the 2008 Mazda CX-7 comes on the tenth spot to complete the top ten cars on the list.

The cars that made it to the top ten list are also equipped with standard safety features like stability control and airbags. These cars have passed the tough qualifications and strict standards of the caranddriver.com. Although found to have all the specific safety features all these cars are offered at the priced tag of under $25,000.
